About Us
Ronald Johnston and Associates, Architects is an architectural firm specializing in residential architecture for both private clients and builders. Ron has practiced in Maryland for 25 years, and our projects include a wide range of custom and production single family homes, townhouses, additions, renovations, historic restoration, active senior housing and assisted living, as well as various light commercial projects. Most of our work is in central Maryland and the DC Metro area, but includes projects as far west as Deep Creek Lake and east to Ocean City, as well as projects in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia.
Ron is a registered architect in the state of Maryland with 25 years in private practice, holds his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. His projects have been recognized with design awards by the Homebuilder's Association of Maryland and displayed at the University of Maryland School of Architecture Alumni Gallery Exhibit.
What We Do
Whether working with clients to design a new custom home or an addition to their existing home, the firm uses time-honored architectural design expertise combined with 21st century 3-D visualization to optimize the building design experience. As a result, we are able to provide our clients with powerful three-dimensional computer models to enhance the schematic design process, and with accurate construction plans to ensure a successful build without compromising the design.
